We invite you to explore and experience how wonderful life can be when you simply get Back to the Basics.
Vida Basic Essentials is an informational website created for the sole purpose of helping us achieve our vision of a bright and healthy humanity. We are dedicated to bringing the most up to date information and resources people can use to make their own decisions for their health and life. We believe that simply getting back to the basics of being a human being is one of the most efficient ways one can get in touch with how they truly feel. With this they can ultimately take control of their health WITHOUT the use of drugs or surgery. We think of life as having three main aspects which are labeled separately but can never be separated. Listed without order they include the mind, the structure of the body, and the chemistry within the body. Here is an example:
Since it is hard to imagine the effects of lifestyle on our own health lets think about Spot, the family dog. Now, we can easily picture Spot's ancestors as wild dogs, hunting and thriving in the wild. They would find shelter where they could, drink water from the local stream, and eat only what they hunt. When they weren't looking for food they would lay around or play and have fun. Now lets take Spot and put him in a modern home. Now he drinks water from the tap (who knows whats in their local tap supply). He eats kibble from Pedigree that contains (ground whole corn, corn gluten meal, ground whole wheat, Chicken by-product?, beet pulp, vegetable oil, and brewers rice) none of which are contained within the wild animals he would normally eat. On top of that, he is lucky if he gets to walk for more than 30 minutes a day, none of which is sprinting (something he would probably do to catch food). So after 7 years of life he has bad joints, allergies, diabetes, and can't socialize with other dogs. So Whats the point?
Well if we take this same model and apply it to humans, most of us sleep on the ground once a year when we camp, eat things that wouldn't be recognized as food by our ancestors, and use our modern technology to do as little movement as possible. Its no wonder why humans develop hormone problems, depression, fibromyalgia, and the vast array of other chronic diseases that exist. In both cases we are getting so far removed from the basics of life that it is effecting the health of the WORLD. This is why we exist.
